Hanging On To The Edges is a series of essays about social science, biology, and the academic life. I hope these might eventually be published as a book. For now, I am publishing them here at about one per month. There’s a bit more detail about the aims and scope of Hanging On To The Edges on this page.

If you want to be notified whenever there is a new essay published, use the SUBSCRIBE VIA EMAIL function on the right of this page, or follow me on Twitter (@danielnettle). I welcome your feedback, via email or on ResearchGate, where these essays also appear. I had a public comments function on this site, but once the number of spam comments reached 100 per day (it’s awfully kind of you, but I have all the gold jewelry, cheap loans and Cialis I need for now), I had to disable it.
